Which is more accurate:Digital scale or doctor’s scale? And why do you weigh more at the doctor’s office?
I go to the doctor sometimes, and like that morning i checked how much i weigh…. when i got there and they weighed me, they said i weigh like 10lbs more than what i did at home on mi digital scale… i was jw why that is…
I have a digital scale at my house and I check weight everyday, but in the Dr’s office I weigh 8.5 lbs. lighter. I was a nurse for a number of years and can tell you that the one at the Dr’s office comes closest to being correct. My son and daughter in law have a digital scale and they are both Doctors but theirs weighs heavier than mine. There are some differences that you should think about before you think that your scale is that far off, one is time of day and the other is clothing along with fecal and water retention. My suggestion to you would be the next time you go to the Dr’s office weigh and write down the exact weight, eat nothing and drink nothing until you get home. Weigh wearing the exact clothing as what you were wearing in the Dr’s office write it down, next strip down to nothing (no panties or bra, naked) then stand on the scale and write that number down. This will do two things for you, it will tell you just exactly how much difference their is between their scale and yours dressed the same and how much the difference is from their scale and what you weigh with nothing on. Weigh at the same time everyday or when ever you check your weight but remember to deduct or add the difference, and you should always weigh about the same time this will give you a much better understanding of your own weight.
