BABY BUNNIEs!?
My brother and I found a nest of baby bunnies approxamotly 1 week old. They have full bellies,are breathing, and are warm.We have two outdoor cats that are feirce hunters. They found the nest and killed one baby.We took the bunnies inside and put the three survivors in a small cardboard box with rags, and a heating pad. My mom is buying replacement kitten food. Is there anything else i should do? Anything were doing wrong?
Anything? We found them tonight(7/5/08) and scared they will die. PLEASE HELP SOON! BABY BUNNIES ARE ON THE LINE HERE PEOPLE!
So far you’re doing a very good job. They need to stay warm Make sure you go out and buy something for the kits to suck on to get to the milk. (replacement kitten milk?) it has to be small enough for the babies to suck on. I wish you the best of luck fostering your new kits. They should be fed about 3 times a day for the first 2 weeks, then from there, twice a day until they are about 5 weeks… then start giving them rabbit pellets to eat as well as the milk.
