Are these normal guilty mom feelings?
I had two kids within a couple years of each other, so I have always tried to save money wherever I could. For example, good clothes that I bought for my first and weren’t too worn out were used on my second- They are close enough to the same size that I just buy the jumbo packs of pull ups and they both wear from the same package, and I buy the cheap dollar sippy cups.
Yesterday, I was at the grocery store and I saw a little girl with her mommy and she was using one of the big sparkly sippy cups- not really expensive- but more expensive than the dollar ones I buy and it was a cute cup. I felt bad for never getting those for my kids while they were little enough to enjoy them. Do other moms get these feelings sometimes, or is it just me? My husband seems to think I’m way too hard on myself.
You are being too hard on yourself – you do the best you can with what you can afford at the time.
