How come my kitchen scale?
How come my kitchen scale is giving me off measurements? I just got it new today and when i checked to see if it was right it was giving me readings 100 grams off. Like i weighted a box of oatmeal and the box said it weighed 325 grams, then i weighted on the scale and it turned out to be 100 grams more on the scale. I also started the scale at zero. Why is it giving me off measurements?
325 grams of whatever is in the container. This does not include how much the actual container weighs. Your scale is fine, but if you want to be sure, you can put a bowl on the scale and weigh that first, then add the oatmeal, now subtract the weight of the bowl from the final weight. Oh and it’s not going to be ecactly 325 grams, the FDA allows for a 5 gram difference either more or less, so don’t worry.
