How do you wrap a picture frame with glass?
I have 6 picture frames I will be travelling with to the UK. What would be the best way to secure the glass in the frame to prevent them from shattering while my luggage is being bashed about? Would it best if I them sent as a separate piece, pay the extra charge and have them transported as fragile? Help!
Hi, even paying an extra charge for a separate shipment doesn’t give you an assurance of its safety. Buy some bubble/jack wrap and foams. There are certain stores selling styrofoam in whole or half(per thickness, say 1 in. or 1/2 inch or even 1/4 inch are available), you just need to cut to fit the size of the frame,put them under and on top, after that wrap them in bubble/jack wrap. To secure it further, add some thick clothings around them. We encounter one situation sending some frames from Phils. to America via courier service, but the item was damaged even if it was advised “fragile”. So better do the safety measure yourself to make sure.
